Where a student wishes the school to recognise prior learning or current competency an assessment on supplied evidence will be made by the Principal tutor and another tutor.
The student is responsible for the supplying at least the following information prior to the commencement of an assessment made against Current Competency:
The Principal Tutor may grant a partial credit, a full credit or no credit at all based on the supplied evidence.
It is the responsibility of the student to supply appropriate and adequate evidence and information to the Principal Tutor to enable a fair and reasonable assessment to be made.
The Principal Tutor will communicate to the student in writing if there is insufficient evidence to make an assessment of current competency; the student will be allowed a further 14 days to provide information or evidence.
The Principal Tutor will communicate to the student within 14 days of all information and evidence supplied for assessment on the outcome of the assessment.
All information, evidence and documentation along with the Principal Tutor's assessment process and decision will be kept on the student’s file.
